the Wirnowskis...
Some brief family background: The Wirhanowsky family emigrated to the United States in the late 1800s from the Carpathian Mountain region of Czechlosovakia/Southern Poland. This officially makes us Ruthenian or more commonly, Carpatho-Rusyns. Half of my Great-grandfather's children kept this name, while the other half somehow ended up with the shortened "Wirnowski" variant.

Mary (Baba) & Constantine Wirnowski - my deceased grandparents - lived in Old Forge, PA for their entire lives. Constantine was a coal miner and Mary was a wonderful homemaker, from whom I was able to gather and record many special family recipes, customs and more. Now on the sixth documented generation (Declan and Gabriel), the Wirnowski name will hopefully live on through Declan, Gabriel, and Mark & Sheila's kids. If you're family, don't forget to check out the Family Genealogy project that I've been diligently working on since 2001 (615 relatives identified so far...). Enjoy!

Pat Wirnowski - My wonderful mother who dotes on her two grandsons...

Jack & Sylvia Wirnowski - My dad & stepmother, living locally in Saratoga.

Lisa Konie - Half Jordan, half Wirnowski...my sister's now married to Harold Konie!

Rich & Judy Wirnowski: My uncle & aunt living happily in Florida.

Mark & Sheila Wirnowski: My cousin and his wife living in Florida...

Rick Wirnowski: My other cousin who's into driving & working on seriously fast cars...

Joe & Mary Ann Frankowski: My uncle & aunt, living in Scranton, PA.
